The on going Quality Qatarization process at QEWC is marked by several activities taken up during the period Jan-June 2010. Two women staffs are sent to UK for 3 months training on English skills development. Further, seven technical Developees have been sponsored for one month external plant training in Japan.
High level delegation led by Mr. Abdul Rahman Nasralla, Technical Manager, have paid two visits to Qatar Independent Technical school (QITS) to establish close working relationship between QEWC and QITS. QEWC plan to recruit students of QITS for appropriate technical jobs in QEWC. “Quality Qatarization is a very positive force at QEWC,” says Mr. Fahad Al-Mohannadi, the General Manager of the company. “By encouraging nationals to run their own country and seek challenging jobs in the country’s human resource market, decision- makers are signaling apparently that they value the contribution of local talent in nation- building process”, Mr. Al-Mohannadi added.
The quality of Work Place Learning of TAFE trainees as well as the development programs of Developee are enhanced by making panel tests mandatory for all trainees and Developees at the end of each training module and also a final comprehensive panel test at the end of the program. On job training is made truly on job by involving the trainees and Developees in actual job works.
